On March 7th, 1995, my mare Real Slick Chick (Sally) was born in Texas on a quarter horse breeding farm. Today, she is twenty-three years old and still looks amazing. My mare has changed my world in many ways and through her I’ve been able to experience the equine show world.

Sally’s life has consisted of many fun events. She spent many years being professionally shown in reining and working cow horse. Not only did she show all around the USA, but she was quite successful in her career.

Many years ago she foaled out a beautiful filly called Chicklet.

Soon after her foal was born, I began leasing Sally. I took her on trail rides and to small local western pleasure shows. I was able to learn a lot by working with a finished horse. After a summer and winter had passed she was bought by a lady name Gina who wished to show her in reining. Many months passed and one day we got a call from Gina and we were offered the opportunity to buy her. From their the adventure began.

Sally and I showed at the county fair for three years and competed in pleasure and speed classes. We had a blast and brought home many ribbons from different classes each year.

Throughout the past couple of years, we have gone through many adventures like swimming in a local lake, riding down the road, and competing at the state fair.

We have been an amazing team and truly enjoy one another’s company. I can’t believe my girl is twenty-three today and I can’t wait to see where the next couple of years takes us.
